Arizona Quilt Centennial Project, Tempe intake highlights
On the weekend of September 16-17 some 30-plus quilters from central Arizona dropped off their contributions to the Arizona Quilt Centennial Project at the Arizona Historical Society’s Tempe branch.
Like the intake in Tucson a week before, it was a collection of great creativity, originality and imagination illustrating a variety of personal perspectives on the state of Arizona.
Here are a sampling of the quilts brought in. The full collection will be on view at this blog post in the weeks ahead.
On Friday-Saturday, September 23-24 more of the 100 quilts from 100 Arizonans will be dropped off at the AHS branch in Prescott.
More samples from the upcoming show will be added to these blog posts in the weeks ahead.
The entire collection goes on display starting February 18 at AHS’s Tucson branch, 949 E. 2nd Street.
It will remain on view at that
location throughout the year 2012.

Hi Dan: Just checking the pictures and noticed on the one that shows Brenda Dickinson, is actually Vicki Bohnhoff. The site looks good.
