On the weekend of September 16-17 some 30-plus quilters from central Arizona dropped off their contributions to the Arizona Quilt Centennial Project at the Arizona Historical Society’s Tempe branch.

Like the intake in Tucson a week before, it was a collection of great creativity, originality and imagination illustrating a variety of personal perspectives on the state of Arizona.

On Friday-Saturday, September 23-24 more of the 100 quilts from 100 Arizonans will be dropped off at the AHS branch in Prescott.

The entire collection goes on display starting February 18 at AHS’s Tucson branch949 E. 2nd Street.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It will remain on view at that

location throughout the year 2012.
